I first heard about Elena’s works before seeing them, and in a certain way I lived them in that parallel line that encircles friendship. A red liquid sound that brings the glance further than the feet can go, a heated jump to return to be born and to fight. Elena’s battle is held on the dark forces of pleasure by the exaggerated sensual power, the forms that remain here, now and still. I observed her journey rise with the big push to see what is found without looking, simply going forward. I saw moments of fire and placid moments reflect each other in the collection, in the pause, in meditation. I saw the forced stages and the sudden departures as soon as the guard was re-established, and then the fight was transformed into a dance, sweet, but still sensual, fast and elegant... A thin cormorant that meets the night where the mind sees the world as something separate and the soul does all itself; a little the birth of the soul in pain, a birth made of gains and losses. I saw images gathered to not reveal their secrets close to the glances to reveal the mysteries, high and low, here and there, "through". Everyone’s life crosses a road, we have seen a piece, there will be others, and more to do. We are the result of a medley of lives in contact with them, who knows how many of them Elena has already lived, how much there is of those past lives, how much she prepares unawares of a dream in her dark unconscious. This I don’t know and perhaps she doesn’t either, and perhaps it doesn’t interest so much to those who live it now.
